CODING AND ROBOTICS CAMP FOR CURIOUS KIDS
We’re proud to partner with Saturday Kids on our coding and robotics camps!
With Saturday Kids, students don’t just learn to code. They code to learn. We cannot teach kids everything there is to know. But what we can do is bring out their curiosity, encourage them to look at problems and think “I can figure this out myself”.
Our 1-week coding camp is:
No lectures. No memorisation. No ONE right answer.
Like real life, we're all about trying things out yourself, failing, figuring out what went wrong and trying again. Because the kids who learn to learn become curious, inventive, resourceful human beings who solve real world problems to make a meaningful impact.

BUBS AND BEES
(5 - 6YO)
Never thought your little ones could code? In this course for beginners, preschoolers programme a robot to boogie, build their own game or animation, and learn about the importance of teamwork and collaboration through code!
Kids are like sponges – the younger they are, the more they absorb.
In this play-based course merging tangible and on-screen programming, kids will learn to code a game, code on iPad, programme a robot and animate characters. On the final day, kids will present their learnings to the class.

MARVELLOUS MACHINES
(7 - 10YO)
Marvellous Machines is a solid introduction into the world of engineering, hardware & robotics.
Kids will create and programme their own robotic creations. They'll learn about engineering by creating 3D shapes and even complicated structures like bridges and towers. Moving on, they'll understand the engineering concepts that make a bridge structurally stable and how everyday mechanisms work. Finally, we'll combine that engineering knowledge to create our own robots!
Kids will learn creative confidence, presentation skills and self-directed learning.

The class that my child is interested in has already started. Can my child still join?
: It depends on the course and the number of lessons missed. Please drop us an email at events@hollandseclub.org.sg and we’ll see what we can do!
Do you teach kids with learning disabilities/special needs?
: We strive to provide an inclusive environment for kids of all abilities, and we have had kids with special needs attend our classes in the past. However, not all courses are suitable, and we strongly encourage parents to drop us an email at events@hollandseclub.org.sg to provide us with a brief background in order for us to make the necessary recommendations based on the child’s learning needs.
Does my child need to have any prior coding experience?
: Our curriculum features courses that cater to both beginner and advanced students, so all kids are welcomed!
My child is below the minimum age required as stated on your website. Can we still sign up?
: The age group listed on our site is a guideline, not a strict requirement. Some exceptions can be made based on the child’s coding experience, and if you’ll like to be sure, please email us at events@hollandseclub.org.sg before you sign up so that we can double check.
