CODING CLUB FOR CURIOUS KIDS
We’re proud to partner with Saturday Kids on our coding and robotics camps!
With Saturday Kids, students don’t just learn to code. They code to learn. We cannot teach kids everything there is to know. But what we can do is bring out their curiosity, encourage them to look at problems and think “I can figure this out myself”.
Our 12-week coding club term is:
No lectures. No memorisation. No ONE right answer.
Like real life, we're all about trying things out yourself, failing, figuring out what went wrong and trying again. Because the kids who learn to learn become curious, inventive, resourceful human beings who solve real world problems to make a meaningful impact.

TINY TECHIES
(5 - 7YO)
Never thought your little ones could code? Kids as young as 5 get to programme a robot to boogie and code a game or animation on an iPad!
Unleash your child’s full creative potential by soaking in the wonders of tech. Inventing the future starts right here.
No experience necessary
Good mix of tangible programming & on-screen programming
Get a head start on early childhood development through digital literacy

START WITH SCRATCH
(7 - 10YO)
Suitable for kids with no coding experience.
Scratchers Assemble!
Scratch is a visual programming language created specifically for kids. Kids learn to code through a simple drag-and-drop visual interface, lowering the learning barrier for kids who aren’t yet proficient in using a keyboard.
So basically, Scratch is all the fun of coding with none of the hassle of typing!
With a foundational understanding of Scratch, kids can create their own games, animations, stories, quizzes and more…
With coding superpowers, only their imagination is the limit!

INVENT THE FUTURE WITH LEGO
(7 - 10YO)
Experience with Scratch required.
This course combines software, hardware and the power of design-thinking, as kids invent the future! With LEGO and Scratch, they’ll create their own product prototypes, both online and in robotic form.
Past inventions include a smart gate and locking system for the home, automatic household recycling and a bot-controlled bubble tea stall.
We’ll also explore how tech might be deployed to make a positive impact and tackle some of the world’s most important challenges, helping to create conscious global citizens.

: It depends on the course and the number of lessons missed. Please drop us an email at events@hollandseclub.org.sg and we’ll see what we can do!
Do you teach kids with learning disabilities/special needs?
: We strive to provide an inclusive environment for kids of all abilities, and we have had kids with special needs attend our classes in the past. However, not all courses are suitable, and we strongly encourage parents to drop us an email at events@hollandseclub.org.sg to provide us with a brief background in order for us to make the necessary recommendations based on the child’s learning needs.
Does my child need to have any prior coding experience?
: Our curriculum features courses that cater to both beginner and advanced students, so all kids are welcomed!
My child is below the minimum age required as stated on your website. Can we still sign up?
: The age group listed on our site is a guideline, not a strict requirement. Some exceptions can be made based on the child’s coding experience, and if you’ll like to be sure, please email us at events@hollandseclub.org.sg before you sign up so that we can double check.
