The Hollandse Club ( is an informal, family oriented, international club in a resort style setting. It offers a wide range of sports, recreation, and dining facilities for its members. Job Description

As Estates Director you are a part of the Management Team of the Hollandse Club. You report to the General Manager (GM). In absence of the GM, you report to the Main Committee and you may be asked to replace the General Manager. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Club’s estate and all associated contracts.  

The Estates Director:


Estate Management

  • Oversees the management of the Club’s buildings and grounds

  • Proactively proposes and manages improvements across the Club and leads the procurement of items, as required.

  • Oversees and manages Club’s plans/ licences and legal compliance.  



  • Leads the development of the CAPEX budget and manages the delivery of associated projects

  • Develops and manages the POMEC budget and projects cash needs against requirements for the Estates departments.


Health & Safety

  • Oversees the implementation of the Club’s H&S policy, procedures, practices and Emergency Response Plan, ensuring the Club meets all standards and legal requirements



  • Leads the (re)negotiation and management of the Club’s contracts: Housekeeping, Cleaning, Security, Pool, Hygiene


Management Reporting

  • Is responsible for development and successful execution of the Club’s Maintenance and Housekeeping plan.

  • Manages, analyses, reports and presents the Estates dashboard and proposes reporting software as required.

  • Initiates, monitors and implements progress of agreed actionable items and corrective actions identified ensuring optimized member and customer experience.


People Management & Development

  • Enables competency development and capability building within the Estates team.

  • Is responsible for the performance of the Estates team and good working relationships across the Club.



  • Leads, develops and implements the Club’s sustainability vision.


Thought Leadership

  • Is responsible for the Estates Department’s expectation and efficiency.

  • Ensures clear documentation of SOP’s across the department.

  • Is responsible for smooth and customer friendly day to day collaboration with both internal stakeholders and outsourced vendors

  • Is an active and engaged member of the Management Team; working together for the betterment of the Club.

  • Is able to give presentations on the Estates to the Committee(s) and Board as required.

  • Assists in the design and execution of Board initiatives and programs.

  • Is highly visible to both members and staff, and listens to their input, praise and criticism and takes action accordingly.

  • Collaborates with all departments and Members to reach Club objectives.





  • Preferably qualifications in Facilities Management / Building Management / Project Management

  • Min 8+ years of post-qualification industry experience within club / hospitality environment.

  • IT literate with good presentation skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Has a hands-on attitude

  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Works well under pressure and balances multiple priorities and assignments.

  • Has the ability to adapt to change, be flexible and empathetic.

  • Demonstrates initiative – ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.

  • Must be willing to work during evenings, Public Holidays and weekends.

Salary Range:

$6,000 per month (depending on experience)
