FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Job description
The Hollandse Club is looking for a hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor who will be working with the team on the general upkeep and maintenance of the Club. This is a full-time position, 44 hours/week, to include weekends and evenings. The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Estates Director.
Responsibilities

Leads the departments Housekeeping, Maintenance, Health & Safety and Security

Smooth and customer friendly day to day collaboration with both internal stakeholders and outsourced vendors to facility departments

Performs daily start up, shutdown and inspection of building services and equipment according to the standards and requirements

Schedules and completes a preventive maintenance program of Club buildings and grounds
-
Performs maintenance work related to electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting
-
Repairs and treats structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors

Minor pool maintenance
-
Takes daily/ weekly utilities readings.

Initiates and implement cost saving repair techniques and program to facilitate cost saving for HC

Contract renewal & new contract quotes, repair cost quotes and to co-ordinate for work completion. ( Contract Management )

To maintain department working tools, materials ( inventory ) and machines for serviceability and accountability

Authority compliances & licence renewal follow up

Ensures that Club premises meets health and safety standards and legal requirements

Assists in emergencies, firefighting, and emergency evacuation procedures.

Ensures clear documentation of SOP’s across the Maintenance department

Advises on renovation, upgrading activities

Manages, analyses, reports, and presents the Maintenance Club dashboard

Assists in designing and execution of MC-initiatives and programs
-
Coordinates and oversees special projects as directed

Any others work or duties as instructed by Estate Director (ED) or GM
Requirements
-
Qualifications in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management.

At least 5 year(s) of experience in the related field, preferably in clubs or other hospitality environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Superb interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.

Strong project management skills.
-
Able to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments.

Must have the ability to adapt to change, be flexible and empathetic.

Demonstrated initiative – ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

Must be willing to work in the evenings and weekends.
Salary Range
-
$3500 - $4500, depending on experience.
