The Hollandse Club

The Hollandse Club (‘Club’) (www.hollandseclub.org.sg)  is a family friendly, international club in a resort style setting. It offers a wide range of sports, recreation and dining facilities for its members. Job Description

The Membership Ambassador is part of the Membership and Commercial Affairs Team and leads the Front Desk and Kids Club.

Sales

  • Is highly knowledgeable on the Hollandse Club in order to explain and sell the Club’s services to guests.

  • Increases membership sales by conducting Club tours

  • Promotion of the Club to new members; membership events in house and off site.

  • Follows up on leads to potential members

  • Supports the Commercial Affairs Director with the sale of corporate memberships

  • Supports the Commercial Affairs Director with sponsorships - generation of revenue and/ contra relationships

Customer Service

  • Supervises the professional handling of members and guests at the Front Desk and ensures they receive high quality service (greetings, hotel check-in and out, complaints, queries)

  • Actively engages with (prospective) members at the Club via all appropriate communication channels

  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the Club; operations, activities, and events to respond to the needs of Members and Guests

  • Responds to enquiries from members and guests and redirects them to the appropriate staff member when needed

  • Handles complaints and billing inquiries from members

Reviews all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure best practice is carried out to ensure a seamless delivery of all Front Desk and Kids’ Club services

Staff

  • Oversees the ongoing development and training of the Front Desk Officers and Kids Club Attendants; leads, monitors, motivates and inspires the team providing guidance and support as required

  • Manages departmental recruitment, overseeing the induction and training of the Front Desk and the Kids’ Club staff

  • Creates and manages the staff roster

  • Oversees uniform requirements

 

Operations

  • Manages the implementation of any change or upgrade in software systems

  • Oversees the reporting of new membership statistics, new joiners, resignations

  • Manages all retail at Front Desk (stock taking, display, new items).

 

Finance

  • Works with Finance Department to ensure all online and POS transactional billing is correct.

Personal

  • Constantly reviews the role and the function of the Department to make changes and implement best practice as required.

  • Performs tasks as requested by the Membership Experience Director or the Club.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree preferably in Hospitality / Sales

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with a proven successful sales track record

  • Candidate is pro-active, independent and has a professional attitude

  • Candidate must be outgoing, self-assured, and driven, with excellent interpersonal skills and commercial awareness

  • Excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal is needed for daily communication with an international member base

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with different people and cultures

  • Must be willing to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays

 

Salary Range

  • $2800 - $3500 per month (depending on experience)
