GROUP LESSONS FOR PLAYERS AGED 5-17

BUILDING CONFIDENT AND COMPETENT TENNIS PLAYERS

The Hollandse Club Junior Tennis Academy offers tennis lessons for all ages and playing standards. Our coaches are experienced in training all types of youth players; from those experiencing their first tennis lesson, right up to tournament level players wanting to fine tune their game.

 

Tennis Academy teaches the fundamentals of the sport including; grips, stroke correction, footwork, and rules and etiquette. Most importantly the lessons are fun, are conducted in a safe environment, and build confident and competent players.

PARTICIPATION INFORMATION AND LESSON TIMES

Players must be members of the Hollandse Club

For players aged 5 to 17 years.

* On the first day of attendance, players will be put into their appropriate group based on age, playing ability & experience.

FAQ

What is the cost of the Academy?

60-minute group lesson: $32.50 (Incl. GST) per lesson multiplied by the number of weeks in the term.

90-minute group lesson: $48.75 (Incl. GST) per lesson multiplied by the number of weeks in the term.

: Players join for duration of the term as stated in the term dates above.

Players joining after the 1st lesson will have their fee pro-rated.

: Once the registration form is completed, fees are billed monthly to your Member account.

Are there any discounts available?

Yes! We are pleased to offer the following discounts-

: 10% off the second lesson - if player takes more than one group lesson per week.

What to bring?

: Hat

: Water bottle

: Sunscreen

: Any required medication

 What if my child does not have a racquet?

: Players may borrow a Club racquet on the first day. We will provide the correct size. You may then choose to purchase a junior racquet at a discounted member price.

 

How do I re-enrol for, or withdraw from, the Academy?

: Once in the program, players will be automatically be registered for the next term.

: Players wishing to withdraw must notify by the Club’s Tennis Director by email before the new term starts: tennis@hollandseclub.org.sg.

: Players who attend any lesson after the trial lesson in the term will be deemed a participant for the Academy, and will be charged for the cost of the full term.


Sickness and/or injury

: No refunds nor credits will be given once the term has commenced.

: The only exception to this rule this is if a medical certificate is supplied. 

: We do offer make-up lessons for missed sessions due to sickness/injury. The make-up lesson needs to be taken within 2 weeks of the sickness day, on an alternative day at the direction of the Tennis Director.

 

Public Holidays

: No tennis lessons will take place on scheduled public holidays. Please visit the MOM website for the 2024 scheduled public holidays.

 

Wet weather

: If the lesson is stopped due to wet weather, we will wait for the rain to stop and return to the court ASAP – once safe to do so.

: If it is not safe to continue outside, we will utilise under-cover areas to offer wet weather training/skills activities.

: Lessons will not be cancelled once started, nor will make-up sessions be offered if rain stops play.

           

Do not assume if it’s raining that the lesson will be cancelled. We will inform of any cancellations in advance via the Academy What’s App group.

                 

Missed lessons

: If lessons are missed by students due to reasons other than sickness (travel, other commitments), they cannot be made-up and will be forfeited. 

: No refunds nor credits will be issued for missed lessons.
