HECTOR
(SPORTS DIRECTOR, TENNIS & PADEL COACH)
Héctor joined us on 1 June 2025 as our new Sports Director, overseeing the strategic direction and growth of tennis, padel, and our broader sports programming. Originally from Chile, Héctor brings over two decades of coaching and leadership experience gained in Australia, Chile and Singapore.
Most recently, he served as a Senior Tennis Coach at The Tanglin Club, where he delivered group and private sessions for juniors and adults, and coached one of the Club’s WITS teams. He is also a certified padel coach and previously served as Development Coordinator at Melbourne Park. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and multiple certifications from Tennis Australia and the ITF. Héctor managed multi-venue operations with strong tennis and padel communities and served as Chilean National Team Manager.
Héctor's focus will be guided by four key pillars of our sports strategy: optimising sport facilities, developing and diversifying programming, engaging the member community, and strengthening external partnerships.

COACH MICHEL
(HIGH PERFORMANCE TENNIS & PADEL COACH)
Michel is a former ATP-ranked player with extensive experience in developing players from elite junior to professional levels. Most recently, he led the Development and Performance Programme at the Singapore Cricket Club, guiding teams to multiple national interclub titles.
On the international stage, Michel held the position of Head Coach at Skovbakken Tennis Club in Denmark, spearheading elite development for both junior and senior players. There, he coached multiple top-ranked U12 players, including the national No. 1 for U10 and U12 in North Denmark. At the professional level, he has served as an on-tour coach to former WTA World No. 2 Vera Zvonareva.
Michel has dominated Dutch senior tennis as a multiple time national champion in doubles and mixed doubles (40+/45+/50+) and former Dutch No. 1 (50+). On the global ITF Senior Circuit, he achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 9 in singles (50+) and No. 26 (45+), along with multiple ITF Senior tournament wins (Grade 1-3), cementing his legacy as a top competitor in veteran tennis.
Michel is available for private and semi-private bookings via GameTime and will gradually be adding more availability to his schedule in the coming weeks.

COACH MIKE
(HEAD TENNIS PRO)
Mike has over 40 years of tennis coaching experience and is a certified RPT National Professional Coach, Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Instructor, Court Warrior Level 1 Instructor, Certified Teddy Tennis Instructor, and a Certified American Coaching Academy Member. He has coached numerous titleholders in the UAE and Kuwait, including the No.1 and No.2 Under 14 Kuwaiti Juniors. He has been coaching at Hollandse Club Singapore for 11 years.
A former collegiate tennis player at Toledo University, Mike has a strong playing background, including a ranking of No.28 in the Under 21 age group in Great Britain.

COACH JOSEPH
(TENNIS PRO & PADEL COACH)
Joseph has over 20 years of tennis coaching experience in Singapore. He is a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Certified Coach and recently obtained his APPA Padel certification. He has coached at international schools such as Tanglin Trust School, Singapore American School, and UWCSEA. He's also honed his skills with top WTA players like Monica Seles, Kim Clijster, and Jenifer Capriati.
Whether you're a young enthusiast eager to learn the game or an adult looking to refine your skills, he is dedicated in providing tailored coaching that suits your specific needs and goals. He emphasises sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth while providing a fun and engaging learning experience.
Joseph is also one of our in-house Padel Coaches.

COACH FARID
(TENNIS COACH)
Farid is passionate about tennis and committed to helping players of all levels improve. He believes in fostering a positive learning environment where players can have fun, stay engaged, and learn new skills. His coaching philosophy emphasises personalised attention and tailored strategies to help each player reach their full potential.
Coach Farid has a proven track record of developing players from beginners to match-ready competitors, and has coached junior players for ActiveSG (Voyager) and WITS teams.

MR WEE
(TENNIS COACH)
Mr. Wee is a seasoned tennis coach with a rich history at Hollandse Club Singapore, starting his coaching journey here in 1978. A former Singapore national junior tennis player, he has coached numerous talented players, including Wimbledon champion Laura Robson. He was instrumental in teaching Laura the fundamentals of tennis during her formative years at the Club.
Mr. Wee has also coached at other institutions like the Singapore Island Club. In the 1980s, he was a quarterfinalist in the ITF Tournament hosted by the Hollandse Club.
